Assisstant or Associate Professor of Veterinary Education Development

The Department of Molecular and Biomedical Sciences at NCSU, College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Veterinary Education.

Qualifications: PhD in Veterinary or Medical Education, Educational Psychology, Education, or related social sciences.  Preference will be given to individuals with a DVM (or equivalent degree) and graduate training in education. Expertise in curriculum development, small group learning, educational research design and learning assessment is desired.

Responsibilities: The individual will be expected to assist the college faculty and administration in overall curricular improvements, including promoting student-centered learning and development of assessment instruments. The individual will assist with the development and instruction of small group critical thinking courses in Years 1-3 of the DVM curriculum.  Education of the faculty and administration in best teaching practices through the use of workshops, individual consultations and developing connections with resources in other colleges and universities is expected.  Development of a research program to identify best teaching methods and learning outcomes is expected.
